The Spark: A Personal Journey of Necessity

Every meaningful brand is born from a real-world problem. For our founder, Sujeet, that problem was deeply personal. Following an unexpected incident, Sujeet was left with asymmetrical feet—requiring a size 8 for one and a size 9 for the other.

In a world of mass production, he became an outcast to the retail market. Finding a pair of shoes that fit became an impossible dream. As traditional street artisans vanished into large-scale factories, Sujeet spent years adapting to a reality where comfortable, stylish footwear simply didn’t exist for him.

Innovation Born from Statistics & AI

With a Master’s in Statistics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and a background in the corporate world, Sujeet decided that if the market wouldn’t provide a solution, he would build one.

Blending his expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) with digital design, he engineered a pair of shoes tailored to his unique measurements. He cut the soles at home and collaborated with a local cobbler to bring his vision to life. For the first time in years, he felt the comfort of a perfect fit. He hadn’t just made a shoe; he had solved a lifelong struggle.

From a Global Gift to a Global Mission

The transition from a personal solution to a global brand happened through a moment of empathy. Sujeet came across a video of a young girl from New Zealand who, at 6’9”, faced the same emotional and physical struggle of finding shoes and bags that fit her stature.

Deeply moved, Sujeet designed and gifted her a custom-made set. Her joy was the validation DayLife Leather needed. She became our first international customer, proving that millions of people worldwide were being ignored by standard brands.
